DANA SAYS: I consider myself a "picky" shopper. When
shopping for others, I try and keep in mind what they would
like for themselves, but won't spend the money on it, and
make a purchase based on that.

For me, if it is creative or expressive in my tastes and
interests, I will purchase it.

For some reason, this year, I've had it with the crowds and
consumerism, that I'm trying to purchase items where a portion
of the proceeds go to charity.

My wrapping paper is from the red campaign and helps benefit
people with aids in Africa.

   Alyssa Milano
Alyssa is the daughter of Italian-American parents Lin, a fashion designer, and Tom, a
film music editor. Alyssa was born in a working class neighborhood in Brooklyn in 1972,
and grew up in a modest house on Staten Island. One day, her babysitter, who was an
aspiring dancer, dragged Alyssa along to a an open audtion for the first national tour of
Annie. But it was Alyssa, not the sitter, who beat out 1,500 other wanna be stage act-
resses to snag a role. So at the tender age of seven, with her mother in tow, Alyssa join-
ed the tour as July, one of the orphans. After 18 months on the road, Alyssa, who had
begun to garner a reputation as an energetic and charismatic young actress, left Annie
to be featured in off-Broadway productions and television commercials. Then, in 1983 at
age 10, she landed her breakthrough role on the new sitcom "Who's the Boss?" (1984)
as Tony Danza's saccharine sweet daughter, Samantha Micelli, a kid whose native Brook-
lyn accent rivaled her TV dad's. In order for her to accept the gig, the Milano family had to
uproot and move 3,000 miles to Hollywood. Had a best-selling excercise video in 1988 call-
ed Teen Steam. She's the 1-800-COLLECT girl.
Caused a stir with her TV Commercial for
Candies perfume, which featured a black-lingerie clad Alyssa and a goateed man. The "Any-
where You Dare" campaign was rejected by such stations as WB and FOX in 2000. Voted #4
in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women list (2001). Voted #4 in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women list in 2003.
Had 5 albums released in Japan which all went platinum. These were titled Alyssa, Look In
My Heart, Best in the world, Locked In a Dream, and Do You See Me? Named #22 in FHM ma-
gazine's "100 Sexiest Women in the World 2006" supplement (2006). She is a huge fan of the
Los Angeles Dodgers. Out of what she called "necessity," Milano teamed with G-III and MLB
to create her own signature "touch" line of team-logo fashion for the female fan, which was
released for sale on-line on April 13, 2007.

The best Christmas present that would put a smile on my face would

I'm so excited at the thought! I decorated my tree on the 28th Nov-

Now if he is ever a bit over boisterous (chasing the cat in his baby

    Beth Orton
Fantastic singer/composer was born in Norfolk, England on this date in 1970.
Winner of the Brit Award for British Female Solo Artist in 2000. Birthname is
Elizabeth Caroline Orton. Known for her "folktronica" sound, which mixes ele-
ments of folk and electronica. Was initially recognized for her collaborations
with William Orbit and the Chemical Brothers in the mid 1990s—but these were
not Orton's first recordings. Beth released a solo album, Superpinkymandy, in
1993. Since the album was only released in Japan, it went largely unnoticed by
international audiences. Her second solo album, Trailer Park, garnered much cr-
itical acclaim in 1996. With the release of the albums Central Reservation (1999)
and the 2001 UK top 10 album Daybreaker, Beth developed a devoted fan base.
On her 2006 release, Comfort of Strangers, she has moved towards a more folk-
based sound and away from the electronic sound of past albums. American movies
and TV shows such as Felicity, How to Deal, Charmed and Vanilla Sky have featured
her music and provided her with exposure to an American mainstream audience.

LYN SAYS:
HEAVY! I get mental at Christmas and spend loads
on all the people I care about, I love spoiling them.

What would someone give to put a grand smile on my face?

That's a tough one. All the things I really want can't be bought.

A plane ticket to America would be a start.

STEPH SAYS:
I would describe myself as a light shopper. I
prefer MAKING gifts than purchasing them from a store.

A painting, or what have you will have much more setimental
value than a new ipod.

What I would like in return? Something personal.

The best presents I have ever recieved were from my boyfriend
who always makes me the most amazing paintings.

They make me so happy. That, and a rose. ;)

Causey name was "Sum Sum Causey". Appeared at London's Garrick Theatre, in "This Is Our Youth",
alongside Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. She married Affleck in 2006, and they have one child.
They
named their son Indiana. Her late brother, River, who played young Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones

I absolutely HATE shopping! I'm not your tyical
woman at all!

I'm the first to get trolley rage *hehe* and am the least likely
to browse. I go out knowing what I want, grab it and go. :)

For Xmas I'd love to either have some art materials, or a painting
by my favourite artist Tyla.
