May 27 Siouxsie Sioux Janet Susan Ballion, was born in 1957 in Chislehurst, Kent, England. Siouxsie Sioux was the lead singer of Siouxsie and the Banshees (1976-1996), one of the original punk bands. The band evolved from punk, to Goth and psychedelia to a more accessible sound in more recent years. The band was featured on the first Lollapalooza tour and provided original songs for "Batman Returns" and "Showgirls." After a career of over a dozen diverse albums and amassing a huge cult following, the group disbanded in April 1996 just as the Sex Pistols, their original inspiration, the Sex Pistols, decided to cash in on the recent interest in punk music and tour again. She also was the lead of The Creatures, with her longtime spouse Budgie. Here is an interesting quote from her; "I despair when I pass Oxford Street and see bondage and leather and studs everywhere. It's become quite acceptable to go to work like that. It's disgusting".Ranked #96 on VH1's 100 Greatest Women of Rock N Roll.

Q of THE WEEK Comes to an end *Look for a new Q next Monday (May 29)
DAVID SAYS: Jonathan, I probably have more of these than most people, but when friends of mine are recording an album for the first time, I like to have plenty examples of what NOT to do. I have two favorites that I hold onto more so for the dreadful artwork and liner notes than for the barely listened-to music inside.
The first one is Lady Brown Sugar Bell's "The Lady Is Armed And Dangerous" (1983). I received my copy while working at KLOL and Skip Bishop (formerly of RCA, I'm not sure where he is now) received his while working as Program Director in Bryan/College Station.
We used to make jokes about this record. The notes on the back cover give her entire life story: began singing at age ten, won talent contests, attended college, left college to work for the phone company, met a soldier, dated for two years, got married.... and that's just the first half!!
The second is from a local band here in Houston. They were actually from Friendswood, TX (got to make sure I credit the right city) and were called Rust. The album is called "The Last Laugh" (1986) and has a crudely drawn clown on the cover with a guitar coming out of his head. The back cover lists the three band members as Edward Levin, Bubba Hightower and Andrew Chojnacki.
However, when you read the notes on the back cover detailing who plays what, the name Russell Hilburn is listed for almost every instrument on every song. It also states, "All music and lyrics by Russell Hilburn*". The "*" indicates a footnote and the footnote states, "Edward Levin is in all actuallity W. Russell Hilburn."
WTF!! If Edward Levin is W. Russell Hilburn than why not just call him W. Russell Hilburn?? The point of having a rock and roll stage name is to use it instead of your real name! Although, neither name is much of a stage name anyway.
Even worse, since there is an individual listing of who plays each instrument for every song, the name Russell Hilburn appears an unneccesary 29 times. Talk about an egomaniac.
JONATHAN: That's funny David, on the second one. I've seen worse though... but I bet you have too. You just thought of these. Thanks again for giving me a weeks break by coming up the Q of THE WEEK. Roland West (w/son) Radio Geek/Label Guy San Francisco California www.myspace.com/rolandw ROLAND SAYS: Hey Jonathan! Long time no see, hear, speak, etc. I've been busy as hell, lots of road time, working at for the reocord side of this crazy business (plenty of good and bad albums have come across my desk).
As fas as my own collection...I think my ex wife got the bulk of the bad ones! I have to say that myspace has given me the opportunity to hear a large share of 'bad' music out there. I feel like Simon Cowell when I get an invitation to 'add' a band or 'check out' someone's music...Yikes!
Too many people out there need to be reminded, "don't give up your day job." Hope things are going well for you, cya out there sometime, no doubt.
JONATHAN: Great to hear from you my friend. It has been awhile. Your Cowell-esque remarks about myspace is a bit cynical...but it is your opinion. While I agree there is some pretty bad music on there, there is also many bright spots. And those are the ones that I find and play on the radio.
JJ SAYS: Without question, Anal Cunt - "The Greatest Hits".
It's fucking awful! I continue to hold on to it purely for a conversation piece. And the band's logo is pretty funny as well.
JONATHAN: Yep, bad band. Like they really wanted to get radio airplay. Not!
NO PIC
FabMusician Lamia Cross Band Paris France www.lamia-cross.com FAB SAYS: "Hopeless Age" of "Septicemia". I was attracted by the CD cover, thinking about a Goth/Heavy band, but it was a Brutal Death Metal thing.
Why I have it always ? I don't know...hahaha!!!

Maybe this isn't my worst Album at all. Maybe, it's a COLLECTORS, and it's worth some bucks!!! LOL Anyway, If U flip the Album over it has the song "HOT PATATTA"
So----INKA DINKA DOO and HOT PATATTA has my vote!!! :)
Ohhhh, I think I picked this Album up at a garage sale, and I am keeping it because I am a pack RAT and hoping to redeem some $$ value from it someday... :)
JONATHAN: I'm not sure, but I think it's worth some money on eBay. Of course Kimmie, it must be in mint condition. :-) Angelica (r) Tempe Arizona www.myspace.com/12angelica07
ANGELICA SAYS: All my music rocks. =) Honestly, I can't say I own something that is so bad I wouldn't listen to it. Gretchen Goodyear Arizona www.myspace.com/azharleydiva GRETCHEN SAYS: The worst album I own is "Soup" by Blind Melon. I got it from Columbia House, thinking the song "No Rain" was on it. (I didn't realize they made more than one album.)
Well, it wasn't on it, and I had already opened the package, so I just threw it in the back of my CD cabinet. That was probably 7 years ago ...maybe more.
Why do I hang on to it? To be honest, I forgot I even had it until you posted this question! :)

Keren Gloucestershire United Kingdom www.myspace.com/kezisyours KEREN SAYS: Jive Bunny and the Master Mixers...several tunes to each of their songs big back in late 80's.
SARAH SAYS: Hehehehe...the worst album I own is by Faster Pussycat from back in the days where I wore crushed velvet and burn't my hair with crimpers!!!
I still can't believe I actually liked them!!, however...I must add if I had a few beers I'd probably get up and dance if I heard it whilst I was out! Shame!!! Michele Norfolk United Kingdom www.myspace.com/Micheleangela
MICHELE SAYS: Hi Jonathan. My ex-husband left me with a selection of crass albums including "Bat Out Of Hell", "Car Wash", "Parrallel Lines", and "Yellow Brick Road", but I'm afraid the worst album I own is probably my Donovan album which contains such classics as "The Owl And The Pussycat" and "Jennifer Juniper". Kate United Kingdom (from myspace.com-no forwarding URL) KATE SAYS: "This Town Aint Big Enough For the Both Of Us" by Sparks.
It is truly awful. I am so ashamed of it I have told my kids it was one of their Uncle's and it got mixed up with mine by mistake. The only reason I haven't binned it is because I am ashamed somene may see it in the rubbish before the dustbin men come!
JONATHAN: Kate, it is your opinion, but Sparks? I love just about anything they do. If you ever "bin" it, I wanna be there to retrieve it from the dump. lol xx
May 24 Leah Andreone I could have given this B'day slot to someone else, but when I noticed it was Leah's B'day it brought back some fond memories. I'd like to think that Jeanette and I were friends of Leah's back in the mid- 90's. Unfortunately as time and careers go in different directions, contact gets lost. Leah is an awesome woman. Born in San Diego in 1974 into your average American home, Leah Andreone was a shy child who found outlet and connection through music, both writing and performing. Moving north to Los Angeles, spending lots of time singing around town at night, and working as a waitress during the day allowed her to hone her talent, make connections, and be there when chance offered her opportunity. The opportunity became her first album, Veiled, released by RCA in 1996. A revealing exploration of self that touched many worldwide, the album produced the hit single "It's Alright, It's Okay" which charted in both the U.S. And Europe. She has put out other CD's since.
Birthday's today: Rosanne Cash, Nell Campbell, Helen Terry, Patti LaBelle, Heavy D, John Illsley (Dire Straits), Sarah Hagan, Tracy McGrady, Cecilia Cheung, Tommy Chong, Sandy Gardiner, Sybil Danning, Bob Dylan, Priscilla Presley, Serena Lee, Joe Dumars, Naomi Ryan, Jill Johnson, Steven McDonald (Redd Kross), Rob Baker (Red Rider) Q of THE WEEK continues
N'C SAYS: My worst album is Macy Gray. She's a nice woman and her music is fine but just can't stand her VOICE!!!!! AliciaVocalist Medina Ohio www.myspace.com/aliciakaylambert ALICIA SAYS: The worst CD I own would have to be Britney Spears first CD, with that annoying "Hit Me Baby One More Time".
That was back in 1998 and I was 18 so I'll chalk it up to teenage stupidity.
I don't even want to talk about it lol. And while I'm thinking about it, I think I'll throw it away because she sucks.
XoXo Alicia
Debra Belvidere Illinois www.myspace.com/msbattles2u DEBRA SAYS: The worst album I own would have to be "Tijuana Donkey Show" by Terminal White...this is just awful!
My brother had given this to me a few years ago...I guess I still own it because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.
A Comeback: (see yesterday) NO PIC Pauly Radio Personality WZZP/WEGI Clarksville Tennessee www.myspace.com/paulyx
JONATHAN: Should I run your response? PAULY SAYS: Wow Jonathan! We must be on different wavelengths.
Definitely run it! But with the caveat that I should have said I've seen better pictures than yours outside the funeral home! I always think of the good stuff after the fact.
Everyone else's photo features the "smoldering into the camera for myspace stare". I should at least get points for originality and the fact that I'm the only one who looks like they were having fun with life. I was onstage with 2 Live Crew at the time.
I guess you could have used the one titled "Me in Iceland" it's pretty normal, but you may have missed it w/o your reading glasses.
Personally, I think old guys flashing their tattoos in their black sleeveless shirts is dumb. I wasn't going to say anything because I have a lot of photos of my Paw-Paw like that.
Just making sure you haven't lost your sense of humor.
Cheers! Pauly
JONATHAN: lol...Pauley. The "me In Iceland" is not you. Yes, I still have my sense of humour. Me bad for running the 'sexist' photo, albiet you having fun. I actually like being compared to your Paw Paw with my black sleevesless shirts and my tats. :-) I might be old to you, but I can rock my ass more than yours...lol. :-) I just found my glasses ...get a freakin' haircut and come into the 00's will ya?
*I hope you readers understand that Pauly and I are having a joustful amount of fun with each other. Right Pauly?

SUSAN SAYS: Hi Jonathan, after looking through my records/Cd collection...the worst record I own is Barry Manilow, "Live In London". Yuuuccckkk!! It's souless and bland!!
It's lying in a pile of dusty untouched records as my mother forgot all about it, as it was for her!! She listened to it years ago but now she don't really believe in all that romantic stuff anymore!! I put it on the other night...uuugggghhhh!!!! I do like Barry, really I do but just not this one!! Love susan xx
PAULY SAYS: I've got several "indie" church records from the 60's, purchased mostly for the comical cover artwork and titles like "Barefoot with Jesus" and "Overcoming the Red Menace".
Truly awful. Oh, and Ringo's "Stop and Smell the Roses" just went to the Clarksville Goodwill if anybody is seeking an original cassette copy!
JONATHAN: Pauly, I only ran this photo because it seems it is the only one on your profile that is you, I think. May I suggest putting up a normal photo of yourself. Personally, this one is dumb.

*Q suggested by reader David Sadof. Thank you David.
Sandie Somerset United Kingdom (from myspace.com-no forwarding URL) SANDIE SAYS: Oh my god... lol I remember the album but it was many many years ago. It was the Partridge Family "Christmas" album.
Gee, that's brought back memories, but can't remember why. Maybe because David Cassidy was on the TV programme at the time I suppose.
PAULA SAYS: God I will have to think about this. So many I didn't so much own, but inheritated it. Val Doonican.
I inherited it from a relative who inherited it from a relative who died and put it in the attic. Won't go up there, that is why I still have it. Sam Ballante Musician Palmdale California www.myspace.com/sammysurprise www.thecraze.com SAMMY SAYS: Hey Jonathan, the worst album I own would have to be by Attila, a prog-rock band featuring none other than Billy Joel on the organ and bass.
I picked up this album at Pick 'N' Save for 99 cents, so at least I didn't waste too much money on this awful album!
So why do I keep it? Honestly I can't throw away any album I have even if it is terrible and besides the album cover looks pretty cool.
So there! Carrie Doo Lakewood Washington (from myspace.com-no forwarding URL) CARRIE SAYS: You mean CD? LOL.... hmmmm, actually I like all the music I own! take care!

HESTIA SAYS: Well I looked and I have none, they are all good.
But, I must say I think Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" is the worst one I have.
Cheating At Solitare Phoenix Arizona (from myspace.com-no forwarding URL) CHEATING SAYS: The worst album I own would have to be Ice-T's "Cop Killer". Due to the uproar over the release of the song "Cop Killer", the original album was pulled and re-issued without the song.
I was 11 when I got it from my neighbor (the original copy). Talk about corrupting a child for life! The reason I bought it was because it was the coolest thing I ever heard I didn't even know that many cuss words existed! And it was just gory with songs like "Mama's Gotta Die Tonight and "Body Count".
The reason I still own it is for the shock value from playing it for people or just scaring the neighbors. lol. They will be like NO WAY, because of how ruthless and loud it is and that it's ICE-T doing metal?! Rose (aka Sexy 41) San Bernardino California (from myspace.com-no forwarding URL) ROSE SAYS: It's called Sister Teresa's "Christian Music" album from Catholic School.
She thought she was a singer. HEE HEE
She was awful but my mom keep it. Trash it! She thought she was 'The Flying Nun'. Remember that TV show? And, she was mean as hell!
BETSY SAYS: Ah yes, thats right! I was gonna say I don't own any albums. How could I forget that?? I have CD's, and mostly I burned 'em all. So I have all good music! I'm so sick of rain! Have a great day.
JONATHAN: An album is a CD, cassette, or Vinyl. Happy that you like everything you burned. I'm so sick of NO rain :-( You have a great day too Betsy. Sophie Aukland New Zealand www.myspace.com/sophieuk SOPHIE SAYS: I was bought an album for my birthday by Will Smith in around 2000, that is still in my collection. The one with the "Jiggy" song on it.
Oh god...it was bought by mistake, but I kept it. I am finding this hard to write and my hands are shaking with shame. I think I will have to go and shut myself in a dark room for half an hour.
Could be worse though, I could be in posession of a Creed album.
JONATHAN: Ha, that's funny Soph. :-)

TRISHA SAYS: This is a hard one, because I like everything I own, or I'd trade it in.
Probably it would be what others would think of as the worst: One of my Bette Midler CD's or a Disney compilation.
Yeah, it would have to be the Disney one.
Ms. Mighty (aka I Beat Bitches With Belt Buckles) Hemet California www.myspace.com/ms_mighty MS. MIGHTY SAYS: It has GOT to be my daughter's Little Lullabies. It has an annoying high pitch and one of the most absurd children's songs I have ever heard... "My Little Pussy". Laura Fort Wayne Indiana www.myspace.com/lsplank LAURA SAYS: The WORST album I own is Spice Girls: Spice. I continue to hang onto it because when I babysit, my kids still listen to it.
I don't know if it has redeeming value, but I know that my friends (my age and older) and I cannot stand the stuff. The things you do for children. Annette Denmark www.myspace.com/annettebrandt ANNETTE SAYS: Hi Jonathan, Thank's for asking. The worst album I own is Sisters Of Mercy! (sorry Tony James if you see this. Love you pal, but not your old band)
Tony gave it to me back in 1988 I think. Can't throw it out when it is a gift from a friend.
Kind regards, Annette
JONATHAN: Ouch, one of my favorite bands! That's ok Annette, not everyone likes them. I agree, if Tony gave it to you, saving it is for a special reason regardless if you like it or not, is the right thing to do. Thought that counts, right? May 17 Enya The 5' 2" singer with the golden voice, was born Eithne Ní Bhraonáin in a small village of Dore (Dobhar in Irish) in the Gweedore (Gaoth Dobhair) region of County Donegal in the northwest of the Republic of Ireland. Her father owns a local pub - Leo's tavern in Meenalech (min na Leice) - and her mother Baba taught music in the local school. In 1968, elder brothers Ciaran & Pol, and uncles Padraigh & Noel O Dugain, formed the band "An Clan As Dobhar" to perform traditional Irish music at festivals etc. Changing their name to Clannad, and recruiting sister Maire Brennan in 1973, the band had gone on to international success performing both their own and traditional material. Enya joined Clannad in 1980 and, credited under her real name, provided keyboards and (mostly) backing vocals. Her 'big break' began in 1987 when she was signed by Rob Dickins, head of WEA Music UK, after he had heard and been entranced by the "Enya" album. WEA's backing made the recording of "Watermark" possible and the album was released in 1988. As a recording entity, "Enya" is often considered to be three people: Enya herself, producer Nicky Ryan and lyricist Roma Ryan. The trio have worked together since the early 1980s. Her New Age albums have earned her 4 Grammy Awards. Neighbor of actress Alison Doody. She creates her signature sound by layering as many as eighty tracks of her own voice.

I loved the 80's but that band tortured my freakin' ears! Yeah...I just haven't gotten around to getting rid of all my cassettes yet.

Q of THE WEEK: Your Worst Album? (see yesterday)
ERIKA SAYS: Hi Jonathan! Hi back to Jeanette...hope you guys are doing well, and as for your question of the week. Worst album I own?
That's a hard question, because I have a bunch of records given to me from various label people that I find abysmal, but none of which I would have ever purchased. The OAR record springs to mind. But, more because it's not my cup of tea. Not because there are no redeeming qualities.
And heck, how many demo or friend's bands so I have that aren't exactly the greatest pieces of art. But...hmmm...something I purchased? I am going to look now. Ok--how about "Forever" from the Spice Girls? It was after the novelty wore off, Sporty Spice left the band and there is no reason I still own this! xx Erika

KRISTEN SAYS: I have an album by a band called the International Brunch Mummies.
It was given to me when I was about 18 years old and had just started interning for an indie music publicist....I guess I hold onto it because it sort of represents my introduction to underground music. Cyndi Bristol Connecticut www.myspace.com/cexyfariegirlcyndi www.fariegirl.netfirms.com
CYNDI SAYS: Jonathan, the worst album I own would have to be Alanis Morissette's "So-Called Chaos". Don't get me wrong, I love much of Alanis's music and have all of it, but did not enjoy this one at all. When I went to see the Ellen D show in L.A. I saw her sing and the CD was the gift to all there at the show.
Just can't seem to listen to it again. Why do I still have it? One person's discard, would be another's treasure...maybe someone, someday, would kiss me for it ;)
Would also love to add...my first thought that came to me with this question was actually one album called Alpha. Stargazing - Special Edition. I heard the song: "I just Wanna Make You" on Yahoo music radio one day and felt I had to have it ...and ordered the CD in a rash moment.
Oh MY, how sleepy it made me to hear the other songs when I came home with the CD! But when I was going to reply to this post ...I found it and listened to it again. Haaaa, only the first 40 sec's of each song, and found another song on the album called, believe it or not; "Horseshit" good beat, kindaaa sexy ...therefore I can't say it was the 'worst'! Sooo I'll keep it ;)
Can't wait to read other posts! Cyn~ SparkyRadio Personailty Lincoln Nebraska www.myspace.com/tattooedmillionare SPARKY SAYS: That POS that Earl Slick made with the band Ampage.

NEW Q of THE WEEK: What is the WORST album that you own?
I don't mean guilty pleasures.
I'm talking about a truly awful record with little or no redeeming value.
How did you obtain this album and why do you continue to hold on to it?
*Q suggested by reader David Sadof. Thank you David.
PIL SAYS: Hi Jonathan! He he, that's a really funny thing you got going there. :) I'm honoured to become a part of it, I love shit like that. So:
That must be Rednex "Sex and Violins". I actually BOUGHT it myself, because I heard one of the songs in a 10.000 volt intoxication, and the next day I went and bought it. I simply do not know, why I hold on to it. I guess it's because I actually paid for it! Not that it makes it any better.
I'll trash it now! I promise! :)
Thank you! For putting me on the website, for your response, but most of all for making me aware of that awful album taking up precious space in my apartment! :)
P.S. Can't you make your next question the exact same, just replacing the term "album" with "husband"? ;) He he....
KEITH SAYS:"I Got No Idols": A Juliana Hatfield tribute (various artists).
I obtained this CD through a Juliana Hatfield fan Yahoo group a few years back. I guess I keep it around because I can't sell it back to anyone since it's on a CD-R, and because of this "moral dilemma" of not being able to just throw away anything that contains songs written by the great Juliana.
However, the artists' renditions on it are really godawful. Riot Girl Phoenix Arizona www.myspace.com/riotgirlaz
RIOT SAYS: I honestly thought I got rid of all the crap I cant stand, but then I ran across Huey Lewis & the News "The Heart of Rock & Roll" and Nelson "After the Rain".

CATHY SAYS: Hi Jonathan, I'm gonna have to say my truly awful record that I continue to hold on to is Hanson "Middle of Nowhere".
How I got it? That "Mmm Bop" Song got to me what can I say. I plead guilty!!
Why I've kept it is a very very good question. Somebody take it!

Violet (r-blonde) Radio Personality Las vegas Nevada www.myspace.com/iamviolet VIOLET SAYS: Hey Jonathan! Something I lost that's bothered me for a long time is respect in people who label themselves as music lovers and go on to complain that alternative music is dying and there's no good music coming out.
There's a crapload of good music and amazing new artists. What's dying is people actually willing to give these new artitsts and songs a chance. People aren't sick of alternative music- they're sick of being force fed the same song under a different title for 15 years.
How many boxes of mac and cheese can you eat really? Oh and if you find my sunglasses can you let me know?
JONATHAN: Well, Vi...I agree there is a crapload of good music out there, and I am playing a lot of it, as well as your station is I'm sure, but I think what you are referring to are jaded people who feel that 'alternative' music is dying. What has died is the whole concept of 'alternative' and 'modern rock', two labels that are a turn-off nowadays. The music is there, the actual idea of being an alternative to something else is not. It's all just rock n' roll. With the internet and satellite, regular radio had better get it's shit together, and soon. Once the advertising dollars change direction, which i believe it will within 5-years, radio will be in huge trouble.
As for the lack of many artists getting exposure, blame the freakin' consultants. They are back in the drivers seat once again.
By the way, I have a whole drawer full of sunglasses, lemme look...yours might be in there. Nikki Valley Springs California www.myspace.com/golfshoes
NIKKI SAYS:Hmm, things I've lost, my mind? Oh, something that I have missed. Hmm. I've basically lost everything I have ever had from my childhood including pictures so I have learned to be pretty tough about that kind of thing.
I don't get too worked up over physical "stuff." But I lost a little stuffed animal that belonged to my baby sister. His name was Cuddles and she could not sleep at night for a long time without him. We even tried to replace the little sucker but never found the same one. I always wonder where that thing went and if it traumatized my sister to have had him ripped away from her.
LAMIA SAYS: Hi Jonathan !! I don't know if in the US you have the same system like here, but in France every children has their medical doc Note book updated by Doctor since their birth.
And, one day when my girls were very little, I needed to pick them up from defferent creche and bring them to see a Dr. after my job. We arrived in time, all went well, and we went out to back to home.
It was the next day I noticed that I had lost the Med Book of my both girls !!!! "^^; I phoned to the municipal office and request to renew the books. A few weeks later, the office sent us a letter to inform us that someone found the books and brought to their office and finally both of the med book of my girls are safely back.
JONATHAN: I really don't know Lamia, if it's the same, but the more I think about, we probably do have a similar system over here.
DEBBY SAYS: My grandmother's diamond engagement ring my grandfather gave her when he met her in Australia during WWII.
Yep. Lost it. Can't find it. I put it in a "safe place" where no one would ever think to look and forgot exactly where that was.

JONATHAN: I'll bet it is Debby. I've done that with items in the past. They do eventually pop up out of nowhere. Well, sometimes.

The summer after I graduated from high school, we moved to a different house. I was working when the actual move took place, so my stuff was moved for me. I realized the bag was missing about month later when I was packing up to go to college.
We searched everywhere. I know I had packed it in a box with everything else out of my closet. That box was sealed after I packed it and I unsealed it at the new house. It's still a mystery. The bag was never found and still no clues as to what happened to it either.

About 3 months ago I lost my diamond bracelet...and I knew it was gone before I even looked...because the weight on my arm felt different.
And, it was the bracelet my ex boyfriend had given to me and we had just broken up about 2 months before that. And then, I knew it was gone forever. Well, 3 weeks later I am getting in my car at the condo's where I live, and my foot slid on something and I looked down and there was my bracelet!!!
It was broken (not on the clasp either) and missing one diamond but I got it back!! I was so happy! Hows that!

Kate United Kingdom (from myspace.com-no forwarding URL)
KATE SAYS: In 2001 I moved two hundred miles to live in South Wales. I packed up my jewelery into two small boxes and packed it at the bottom of the crate that contained the contents of my bedroom.
The bulk of my belongings were brought by a private firm, this crate amongst them. After several weeks of chaos I realised that this jewellery was missing.
Although little of it was valuable in a monetary sense, there were a great many items that had huge sentimental value. I searched the house to no avail. I even wondered if the removal men had stolen the stuff.
However, I found it hard to imagine that two burly chaps had unpacked half a ton of household crap at the roadside on the offchance of finding a few items of costume jewelery that, frankly, would have been unlikely to match their outfits.
Two years later I finally got round to doing some decorating. I opened a plastic box containing paintbrushes and rollers etc. that had lived in my cellar at the old house.
You've guessed it, there was the jewelery safe and sound in with the decorating gear. I have no explanation for this apart from the possibility that either I am barking mad or outside psychic forces enjoy irritating me!
JONATHAN: Great story Kate. Isn't it delightful when something just pops up when you least expect it?
May 8 Melissa Gilbert The 5' 31/2" actress began as a child actor, and has been around ever since. Melissa Ellen Gilbert was born in 1964 in Los Angeles. In national voting completed on Friday, 2 November 2001, Melissa Gilbert was elected president of the Screen Actors Guild, taking the position held since November of 1999 by William Daniels, who declined to run for another term. She held the position until 2005, when she was replaced by Alan Rosenberg. Married to Bruce Boxleitner. She is the youngest person ever to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

ANGEL SAYS: Okay Jonathan, Get ready . I received a letter from the goverment that said I owed $9,995.00 from the year 2002. (They had found an error) I had always let my husband handle the tax stuff.
I'm single now. So how hard can it be? My friend and I got online in the year 2003 and just did them. It was easy. Now I'm searching for the taxes everywhere and can't find them. I called my friend and ask if she has a copy on her computer or just anything.
NOPE. Okay, I go to the site. I can not remember my password my anything! I called the IRS, they want me to pay them for the copies. I'll seach some more before I pay them 29.95 for copies. 2 weeks pass.
We ripped apart this house. Nothing, so I sat on my bed, thought about it before I made that call. All of a sudden I remembered that once this old hispanic, very very religous woman told me, if I EVER lose anything, just ask the Virgin of the light.
It was my last chance, no kidding, this is true story. 5 minutes later they were sitting on the end of my bed. I went and had them redone professionally and there was a happy ending. :)
JONATHAN: I am speechless Angel. I despise the IRS. Great story though, with a satisfying ending. Congrats. Susan Bluechild Vocalist Dublin Co. Dublin Ireland www.myspace.com/susanbluechild www.susanbluechild.com SUSAN SAYS: Hey Jonathan, I have the answer to that question of what I have lost.
I lost a favourite silver ring of mine a while back, it had a diamante finish on it. I can't even remember where I bought it, but I just loved that ring. It was simple and easy to wear on my right hand. Now my hand feels empty and bare.
Thanks for the airlply, I'll keep you posted!! Lots of great developments here recently! Love Susan xx
MIC SAYS: My favorite sapphire ring. :( Have u found it???
JONATHAN: Well, as a matter of fact I did. How it ended up in the Phoenix desert, I'll never know. Anyway, I pawned it. It didn't fit. I'm kidding of course. ;-) It seems many of you are losing rings. They are such small creatures, right?
May 7 Traci Lords The 5' 7" Nora Louise Kuzma, former Adult film star, and now actress and singer was born in 1968 in Steubenville, Ohio. Traci Lords is a study of a determined and complex woman with a very controversial background. Born and raised in Ohio, she moved with her divorced mother and three sisters to Los Angeles at age 12. She ran away from home and began nude modeling at age 15 and then adult films a year later. Her stage name is a combination of Traci, from a former school friend, and Lords, in honor of her favorite male actor, Jack Lord ("Hawaii Five-O" (1968)). In May, 1986 she was arrested by FBI agents when it was discovered she was underage, which meant that any films with her in them were illegal to rent or buy, and video stores around the country rushed to remove them. The only legal porn movie Traci made was Traci, I Love You (1987), which was filmed in Paris, France on her 18th birthday. Since then she acted in many B-movies and has tried a singing careeer.

JONATHAN'S "FOUNDS":
*I've found that many of you are quite real, and use this as a place to say what you feel. Makes me feel good. I've actually met some very nice people through myspace among the phony's. As busy as I might be, I've found that either a reply to a e-mail, wishing someone a happy birthday, etc, makes both parties feel good. It's all about communicating for me. Goes a long way. :-)
*My love for riding around the neighborhood on my new bicycle. Good exercise.
*Some of things I've been looking for that was still in boxes from the move from LA to Phoenix last year.
*I miss Los Angeles so much, but the work is here for me. As Kurt Vonnegaut said "So it goes".

*Certain selfish relatives to relieve myself of aggrivation. Lost my desire to patch up things that can't be patched up.

AMENDA SAYS: MY RING, AND I STILL CAN NOT FIND IT TO THIS DAY!!!!! I LOST IT TWO YEARS AGO !!!!
JONATHAN: Another bummer. *Christel* Gilroy California (from myspace.com-no forwarding URL)
CHRISTEL SAYS: Funny you should ask this question! I have been recently been doing a little soul searching and have realized that like everyone else in the Bay Area, I have been caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and the conquest of the almighty dollar.
With an annual income most could only dream about, I still found myself pushing, fighting, questioning, wanting and realizing...I wasn't happy!
What I came to realize was...that along the way, in this race, we so call life, I have lost sight of who I am and what it is that is truly important to me in life.
People don't stop to smell the roses or appreciate the small, simple things in life we should all be grateful for.
I may have lost sight of the true meaning of life and what's important for a moment, but am happy to say that I have found it again.
JONATHAN: Wow, Christel...this is very spiritual. I can't agree more. I was in the same situation, and came to the conclusion, money is NOT everything. Health, happiness, and the pursuit of having a life is much more important. Thanks for reassuring us all of what really matters in life. Laurel Los Angeles California www.myspace.com/misslaurel LAUREL SAYS: Hi Jonathan! What have I lost that has bothered me for a very long time?
When I was 17...besides my virginity (haha), I lost a diamond ring that my great grandfather gave to my mother as a child. I took it from my mom's jewelry box and wore it to school one day.
I lost it in the fields behind the Highschool where we were playing soccer. Unfortunately, in the last 20 years either someone found it or it's buried in a field. My mom forgave me, but sometimes I think back and how careless being a kid was.
JONATHAN: A third bummer.

KAYLA-JANE SAYS: Hmm...since I moved to California a year ago I seemed to have lost everything. My iPod, pants, every jacket I owned. Pants, shoes, you name it, I've lost it.
But, recently I've been on this crazy spree of running around trying to collect things if I have an idea of where I may have dropped them off. (I have lived in 7 places since moving here last April). Anyway, I have so far been to Sherman Oaks to get my iPod, stilettos, towels, and flipflops.
I still have to go to Hollywood for some books and a jacket!, and I know I've got a pair of pumas at my friend Chanel's. Gotta find out where she moved?
I still have to map out where I think the rest of my jackets are...some 7 pairs of jeans...my favorite tank top, etc.
If this was lame I'm sorry...I just got into a car accident an hour ago. I'm kinda frazzled.
JONATHAN: Kayla, don't apologize, this was rather enlightening. Sorry about the car accident. *You readers can go to Kayla-Jane's Blog on her myspace page. I did. It was a facinating, quite poetic read. Ronda Lynn (aka Just Mom) Utah www.myspace.com/rondalynn05

Found:Almost 19 years later; 2 divorces, I have found 5 great kids with their heads on straight, I am begining to find ME that sexy, fun, outgoing, carefree woman I so loved. What a great feeling to have found my best friend again. I feel I have so much more to give those around me now.
A quote a dear friend gave me to live by: "I would rather have people Hate me for who I am, Rather than love me for who I pretend to be."

CORINALYNN SAYS:I lost a ton of stuff last july by being burglarized right after my husband left for the middle east (he was gone for 9 months), but the one major thing that fried me was my coin collection and my girls coin collections.
They're priceless! The stinkin' insurance company doesn't cover stuff like that for it's actual value which mine alone was worth well over 20 grand.

Well in other words...I'm happy that I have found what I lost. And, just things peak up to being brighter.
MAU SAYS: I remember as a child, my uncle brought me a silver and turquoise ring back from one of his travels abroad. It had little bits of gold in it. I had it for many years and then it vanished. Kristine Sa Vocalist Toronto Canada www.myspace.com/kristinesa www.kristinesa.com KRISTINE SAYS:You know what's strange, Jonathan? I wrote about something like this recently on my xanga. Care to read?

Signed, The Voice Of Experience
JONATHAN: Nikki, I don't know about losing adult toys, but losing my keys is one of my biggest fears. Gothika United Kingdom www.myspace.com/mistressgothika
GOTHIKA SAYS:Hi Jonathan, I was left my Grandma's engagement ring in her will, something I'd admired from being a little girl and she always said "It'll be yours one day". About 2 and a half years ago, I lost my Grandma to a battle of Lung Cancer, near the end of her life I spent a lot of quality time with her, which I'm eternally greatful for.
Two weeks after her death, I was given her ring, it was a fairly simple ring in design, a small diamond set into a heart and two smaller diamonds set to each side...simple but beautiful.
I wore her ring with pride....but one day not long after, to my horror I noticed one of the side stones had gone, I looked everywhere for it, but as it was so tiny I had no real chance of finding it, I sobbed my heart out and felt so guilty to think my Grandma had worn it all her married life and no harm had ever come to.
I thought about getting a new stone put in it's place, but then decided that it wouldn't be the same, so it's now safely put away where I look at it once in awhile. Over the next month I had several 'realistic' dreams about my Grandma, as if she knew I were upset. I can't really explain, but these dreams soon made me realise that although the ring is precious ( and always will be ) my true memories of her are deep in my heart and those can NEVER be lost or taken from me.
